It is in the same perspective as DELF A1 and further validates the language skills of an elementary user, considered as a social actor. The candidate is here capable of performing simple tasks of daily life. You can use the most common courtesy and exchange formulas. The DELF A2 Tout Public is based on level A2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). At level A2 (intermediate or survival), there are most of the descriptors that indicate social relationships such as:
- Perform simple tasks of daily life (go to a shop, obtain information, take public transport, etc.)
- Use the most common courtesy and exchange formulas.
- Tell a past event.
- Understand a simple conversation.
- Talk about my likes and explain why I like it and I don't like it.
- Describe my daily life and what surrounds me (leisure, work, friends, family).
- Understand a personal letter and respond (invite, thank, apologize).
- Understand directions to guide me.
- Connect the sentences with small words like: “and”, “but”, “because”.

Exam development:
There are three collective tests where other candidates take the test at the same time, in the same room.
And an individual test where each candidate is alone in front of 2 examiners.
- Each test has 25 points.
- To obtain the diploma, 50 points out of 100 will be necessary. - The student must have at least 5 points out of 25 per test. - The score below 5 points out of 25 in a failed test

DELF A2 oral test for all audiences
Presentation and execution of the oral exam for DELF A2 Tout Public
The DELF A2 Tout Public oral production test lasts from 6 to 8 minutes and is developed in three parts:
- A guided interview (approximately 1 minute 30), a monologue followed (approximately 2 minutes) and an interactive exercise (3 to approximately 4 minutes).
- For part 2 and for part 3, the candidate must draw two subjects and choose one of the two. You will then have 10 minutes to prepare these two parts.
1st part of the DELF A2 Tout Public oral exam: guided interview
The guided interview for the DELF A2 oral test Tous Publics lasts approximately 1 minute 30 minutes. The objective of this part is: “introduce yourself, talk about yourself”. Here, the candidate must introduce himself: talk about himself, his family, his friends, his studies, his tastes, etc. Then the examiner will ask you some additional questions.
This part is scored with 4 points out of the 25 awarded to the PO of DELF A2 Tous Publics. For this part, there are two evaluation criteria: 1) Know how to establish social contact, introduce yourself and describe your family environment. (3 marks) 2) Can answer and react to simple questions. It can handle simple interactions. (1 point)
2nd part of the oral production DELF A2 Tout Public: follow the monologue
The monologue followed by the oral examination of the DELF A2 Tout Public lasts approximately 2 minutes. The objective of this part is: “to talk about yourself continuously”. Here, the candidate must express himself on the topic he has chosen and prepared. The examiner can then ask two or three additional questions, but this is not required. If the candidate gives a fairly thorough and long enough follow-up monologue, the examiner will not ask a question. However, if the monologue is too short, the examiner will ask some questions to complete this part, which is scored with 5 points out of 25 awarded to PO DELF A2 Tout Public. For this part, there are two evaluation criteria:
- You can easily present an event, an activity, a project, a place, etc. related to a family context. (3 points)
- Know how to relate the information provided in a simple and clear way. (2 points)
3rd part of the oral test DELF A2 Tout Public: the interactive exercise
The interactive exercise for the DELF A2 Tout Public oral test lasts approximately 3-4 minutes. The objective of this part is: "to solve a situation of daily life". Here, the candidate must dialogue with the examiner to resolve a situation from everyday life. You must also show that you are capable of greeting and use the basic rules of courtesy.
This part is scored with 6 points out of the 25 awarded to the PO of DELF A2 Tous Publics. For this part, there are two evaluation criteria: 1) Knowing how to request and provide information in simple transactions in everyday life. Proposals can be accepted or rejected. (4 points)
