DELF A2 Junior / Scolaire

The DELF A2 Junior / Scolaire is intended for teens ages 12 to 18 who are attending college and high school. The DELF Junior / Scolaire validates the language skills of a primary school user, considered a social actor. The candidate is here capable of performing simple tasks of daily life. You can use the most common courtesy and exchange formulas. This exam benefits from a very positive evaluation that is not made to sanction, but to improve the learning of French. The subjects of the DELF A2 school exam are adapted to young people.

Global Proficiency Scale for  DELF A2 Junior / Scolaire

The global scale of common skill levels of the CEFR defines the A2 level user capable of the following language skills:

- Can understand simple sentences and frequently used expressions related to immediate priority areas (eg simple personal and family information, shopping, local environment, work).
- Can communicate in simple and routine tasks that require a simple and direct exchange of information on family and routine matters.
- You can describe your training, your immediate environment and raise issues that correspond to immediate needs using simple means.

Qualitative aspects of the use of the spoken language of level A2 of the CEFR

Degree

Uses basic memorized sentence structures, groups of a few words, and ready-made phrases to communicate in order to communicate limited information in simple, everyday, current situations.

Correction

Use simple structures correctly but still make basic mistakes consistently.

Fluency

It can be understood in a short speech, although the reformulations, pauses and false starts are evident.

Interaction

Can answer questions and react to simple statements. It may indicate that you are following him, but he is rarely able to understand enough to carry on a conversation on his own.

Consistency

You can link groups of words with simple connectors such as "and", "but" and "because".

Please note that starting in 202 , a new exam format appears. It involves changes in the oral and written tests of the DELF A2 Scolaire. However, for three years, that is, for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 , the old and new formats will coexist. This means that during these three years, on the day of your exam, your subject will correspond to the old format or the new format. Therefore, it is important to prepare for both exam formats.
