It is an exam for teenagers and adults that certifies the different English levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Aptis General. It is the most requested exam, because it offers a general linguistic certificate. It certifies the basic and intermediate levels. It also has more specific exams which can be done if you wish.
–Aptis for teens. It is specially designed for young people between 13 and 17 years of age with a vocabulary adapted to their age.
–Aptis for Teachers. It is a version of Aptis General which is designed for teachers and evaluates an educational context.

Aptis Advanced. It is a version that certifies the C1 or C2 level; the most advanced levels of foreign language knowledge according to the CEFR.
This test evaluates the different linguistic skills following the levels established by the the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2.

There are a great number of examination dates throughout the year.
The results are delivered from 48 to 72 hours after the exam has been completed and the certificate will be sent via post mail 7-10 days after the user has completed the exam.
The exam lasts from 3 to 4 hours. Therefore, the candidate can complete the exam in a day.
This certificate is widely accepted by numerous institutions and it is recognised by the great majority of autonomous communities, private businesses, public organisations and nearly all of the public and private Spanish universities around the world.
The qualification system of the Aptis exams is simple, easy to understand and it offers a thorough evaluation of the four main linguistic skills.
The results follow the frameworks established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). These certificates are precise and trustworthy.
The exam includes the oral expression, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written expression and grammar tests.
Aptis carry out their exams on computer, including the oral expression part, and they are supervised by the British Council.
Their prices are affordable.
They give you the chance to certify the A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels. Aptis is designed for the candidates who want to demonstrate their English knowledge. They are evaluated on what they know, reflecting their English level in the results.
If you are disabled or a special needs person, Aptis offers you the possibility of taking a modified version of the exam (ex. in Braille or extra time).
The Aptis certificates don't expire. However, it is possible that some businesses will ask for an update because your English knowledge can change over time.
