What grade do I have to get to pass the B2?
For those who ask us the question, we are going to briefly specify the skills of level B2, in order to get a better idea of the subjects they have to study and go safely to the exam.
What is level B2?
Level B2 corresponds to independent users of the language, that is, those who have the necessary fluency to communicate effortlessly with native speakers.
It is important to bear in mind that the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) is the system that defines and explains the different levels of expression and oral and written comprehension for languages such as English. It consists of 6 reference levels: three blocks (A or basic user, B or independent user and C or competent user), which in turn are divided into two sublevels, 1 and 2.
Level B2 skills
−−Can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of expertise.
−−Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without tension for either party.
−−Can produce clear and detailed text on a wide range of topics and explain a point of view on a current topic, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

What does the B2 demonstrate?
A B2 First qualification demonstrates that you have the language skills to live and work independently in an English-speaking country or study in courses taught in English. This exam is the logical step in your language learning journey between B1 Preliminary and C1 Advanced.

What score do you need?
To pass the B2 you need a minimum of 60% correct answers in total. This equates to 160 points on the Cambridge scale.
