What is Merit in Trinity?

Merit is one of Trinity College's GESE and ISE exam scores, which it literally means "Pass with merit." So you can appreciate this rating in its fair terms we briefly summarize what the exam marks are ISE and GESE.

Trinity College

As we anticipated at the beginning, Trinity College has two types of exams: the ISE (Integrated Skills in English) and GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken). The ISEs were established very few years ago with various components; an oral part, a written part, a listening part, etc.

The GESE exams

The GESE exams are the oldest exams at Trinity College, and they are the ones that have been taking place in Spain for many years. They are also used by the Community of Madrid, for example, in bilingual schools.

How are the GESE exams passed?

The exam can be passed with

A = (Pass with Distinction; Approved with license plate, in numeric data 10);

B = ( Pass with Merit ; Pass with notable, which would equal an 8),

C = (Pass; Approved, a 6).

D = Fail (fail)

The results of the exams are in the hands of the students within a few hours of having finished the last day exam. Diplomas are usually received on the 15th of September.

ISE exam

The Trinity ISE II test has 4 sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. You will have to complete a series of exercises and questions for which you will get a number of points. Each exercise is evaluated separately with one of the 4 marks.
