How long is the IELTS valid for?

The validity of the IELTS score is two years from the date of receipt. For all candidates, the validity period of the IELTS is the same.
Candidates can take the exam as many times as they want in a year and they can use the most recent result for an extended period of validity. It is a globally recognized exam. Does the validity of the IELTS extend to 3 years?
Many students ask this question as there is a rumor about the extent of the validity of the IELTS score. The validity period is still two years as there is no update about the extension on the official IELTS website.
