How long does a Cambridge exam take?
If practically the Cambridge exams are not the most requested, however, in Europe the exams (FCE, CAE, CPE) are the most prestigious, and the most recognized. In general there are more than 15,000 organizations that use it. Being the most demanded and well-known Cambridge English certificate, the FCE (FIRST CERTIFICATE) they have different exams at their disposal for different levels.
Exam duration
The basic exams (KET and PET) last approximately 2 and a half hours, while the higher certificates (FCE, CAE and CPE) last approximately 3 and a half hours.

As you can see, all the names are associated with different letters with numbers. These letters refer to the Common European Framework of Reference. Although it is true that there are all these levels, however, the first one that is described with a real capacity to communicate, express and understand ideas is the First Certificate.
This does not mean that KET and PET do not have significance, but they acquire some importance if they are explicitly demanded to have access to certain jobs or studies.
BULATS English Certificate
Although it has also belonged to Cambridge English online since 2017, we present it separately as its purpose is different. It is basically focused on the world of work and business, as Cambridge puts it: in “the global benchmarking of language skills in the workplace”.
